NVQs / SVQs

National and Scottish Vocational qualifications (N/SVQs) refer to work-related qualifications.

They are designed to demonstrate knowledge, understanding and work-based performance which is matched to National Occupational Standards (NOS).

These NOS describe the competencies expected in any given job role covering all the mains aspects of an occupation including current best practice, the ability to adapt to future requirements and the knowledge and understanding that underpin competent performance.

Delivered in the workplace

N/SVQ qualifications are delivered in the workplace with minimal disruption to work operations.

The assessment methodology used by our team is:

  • Product evidence (building up a portfolio of evidence of what you’ve done at work)
  • Assessor observation
  • Witness testimony
  • Question and answer sessions
  • Professional discussions

Evidence from the above assessment methodology is stored and logged within our bespoke individual electronic learner portfolio.
